Is Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Crossplay?
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid was just added to Stadia. It is now available on five major platforms: PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
The game’s Twitter account announced that it is the first fighting game to achieve cross-play across all these platforms.
Previously, Sony’s PS4 was a major barrier to cross-play. However, Sony seems to be easing these restrictions. Hopefully, other games will begin to offer cross-play soon.
This is especially notable because Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is a fighting game. Fighting games need good netcode to prevent lag in online matches, and cross-play can complicate this.
Given this, it’s impressive that no other games in this genre have attempted this, and even more so that a Power Rangers game achieved it first.
The game won’t be on Stadia until June 1st, but it seems nWay Inc has already succeeded.
This action might also increase the number of players, since this game isn’t as famous as other fighting games.

Being able to play with friends no matter the console has been a long-time wish, so it’s good that this game offers this choice.
