How Cross-Play Works in Overwatch 2?

How Cross-Play Works in Overwatch 2

Cross-play is available in all game modes except Competitive. Competitive play is split into two separate pools: one for console players and one for PC players.

This ensures that players on different platforms don’t compete against each other in competitive matches.

  • Non-competitive modes: Players from any platform can play together.

  • Competitive modes: PC players and console players are placed in separate matchmaking pools. This means that if you’re on PC and playing with console players, you will only be able to join non-competitive modes together.

  • Aim Assist: Console players grouped with PC players will have Aim Assist disabled by default to maintain balance.

Yes, x supports cross-platform progression. As long as you’re logged into your Battle.net account, you can play the game on any platform and pick up where you left off.

However, in-game purchases made on the Nintendo Switch are only usable on that platform, unlike purchases made on Xbox or PlayStation, which are shared across those platforms.

Cross-play in Overwatch 2 makes it easier to enjoy the game with friends, regardless of the platform they’re using, providing a seamless experience across consoles and PC.
