Is NHL 23 Crossplatform?
NHL 23 has cross-platform play for the first time ever. But there are some limits. Players on PS4 and Xbox One can play together. Players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S can also play together.
However, players cannot invite friends from other consoles to play on the same team. EA wants to add more cross-platform features in future NHL games.
Cross-platform play was not available when NHL 23 launched on October 14th. Instead, it was added slowly in four phases starting last week.
The cross-platform features were added in four steps. Phase 1 was on November 17th. It added ‘HUT Rush’ and ‘Ones Eliminator’.
The second phase took place on 21 November. It added ‘6v6 EASHL’ and ‘3v3 Drop-In’. The third phase happened on November 23rd. This update brought in ‘3v3 EASHL’, ‘HUT Champs’, ‘6v6 Drop-In’, and ‘Threes Eliminator’.
The last phase will be on November 28th. It will add ‘HUT Rivals’. Each console has its own leaderboards. In Hockey Ultimate Team, each console has its own auction house.
Players cannot trade items between different consoles. Cross-platform play will make it faster to find opponents in HUT and World of Chel. This is a big improvement for NHL 23 players.

Who Can You Face Off Against?
PS4 players can play with or against other PS4 players. They can also play against Xbox One players. PS5 players can play with or against other PS5 players. They can also play against Xbox Series X|S players.
Xbox One players can play with or against other Xbox One players. They can also play against PS4 players. Xbox Series X|S players can play with or against other Xbox Series X|S players.
They can also play against PS5 players. EA Sports said it was hard to put all players on one server for NHL 23.
Before, players were split onto different servers. But EA Sports says they have worked to fix problems between the two console platforms.
