After a strong start in its 2022 open beta, MultiVersus faced challenges as its player count dropped quickly. This led to the shutdown of its servers in June 2023 for a relaunch.

Now, following its May 28, 2024 release, MultiVersus is back and gaining popularity. But does it still offer the crossplay and cross-progression features promised during the beta?

Does MultiVersus Support Crossplay & Cross-Progression?

MultiVersus supports full crossplay and cross-progression across all platforms, including PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. This is confirmed by Player First Games on the MultiVersus FAQ page.

You can switch between Steam and Epic Games without any issues, as your progress is tied to your Warner Bros Games account.

Cross-progression is always enabled by default. To switch platforms, just log into your Warner Bros Games account on the new platform, and you can continue playing.

Crossplay is off by default, so you need to enable it to match with players or friends on other platforms. To play with friends on different platforms, you need to enable crossplay through the steps given below : 

  1. Go to your settings.
  2. Click on the online tab 
  3. Turn on crossplay.
