Currently, Mac and PC players can experience limited crossplay. However, playing with friends on other platforms like PS5 or Xbox is not yet possible.
BG3 was released on Xbox on December 8, 2023, but there’s still no information about crossplay.

Does BG3 Allow Cross Progression?
Yes, Baldur’s Gate 3 does offer cross-progression. It allows you to keep your progress across different platforms.
Now that it’s available on PS5 and Xbox, PC and Mac players can still use their saved files on these consoles.
Your saved game will be secure on any platform, allowing you to continue playing from where you left off.
To enable cross-progression, you must set up a Larian account. This is beneficial as it also gives you access to BG3 Twitch drops.
However, there is a drawback to this feature. To use cross-platform progression in BG3, you need to purchase the game twice: once for PC or Mac and once for PS5 or Xbox.
