Yes, Apex Legends is Crossplay but you need to make sure of these features. To play Apex Legends with friends using crossplay, you need to have the crossplay feature enabled and add them to your friends list.
With crossplay enabled, you can play with friends on The PlayStation, EA app, Steam, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch. On PC, crossplay cannot be turned off at the moment.

How To Use Crossplay To Add Friends In Apex Legends?
Once crossplay is enabled, you can send and receive friend invites. Follow these steps:
- 1. Open the friends menu.
- 2. Click the find friend button.
- 3. Enter their EA Public ID. You can also let others search for you using your Nintendo Nickname, PSN Online ID, email, or Xbox Live Gamertag in the privacy settings.
After accepting a friend’s request, you’ll see them in the friends menu when they’re online, along with their platform.

Is Cross-Progression Available In Apex Legends?
This is disappointing for players. While Apex Legends supports cross-platform play, it does not have cross-progression.
The only exception is between Steam and the EA app on PC. Your levels, skins, and battle pass progress will transfer between them.
If you switch from PlayStation 4 or 5 to Steam, you will start at level 1 without cosmetics. Your PlayStation progress remains unaffected.
Respawn Entertainment, the developers of Apex Legends, have expressed interest in adding cross-progression, but there is no timeline for this.
